ROSARY MYSTERIES

JOYFUL MYSTERY...

In this mysteries, we are invited to meditate on the joys brought by faith: a faith lived in action by Mary.
1. ANNUNCIATION
   The angel tells Mary that she would become the mother of God.



Personal Prayer:

Mother Mary you are a woman of courageeous faith. Without completely understanding the announcement of the angel, you completely trusted the Lord. And in that trust the Word was made flesh. Help me to have your spirit of trust in the love and the presence of the Lord in my daily life.

2.THE VISITATION
   Mary rushes to visit Elizabeth.



Personal Prayer;
 Mother, you are a woman totally in love with God. It is love that moved you to joyfully share the Good news with elizabeth, to be a woman for others. Teach me to love God as much as you do, that like you ,i may live my life in service of others.

3.THE BIRTH OF OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST
   God becomes man.



Personal Prayer:
with you, Mother and St. joseph I kneel before the seemingly powerless child. I pray that like you, i may not only see but also experience the power of God in Him. With you and St. joseph I praise the Lord for loving me and the whole world, in this very radical way_ God becomes man.

4. THE PRESENTATION
Mary presents Jesus at the temple...




Personal Prayer:

Mother,you did not keep jesus to yourself but rather offered Him to the Lord. This mystery reminds us of the reason for our being-we are not our own, we belong to God. Help us to offer back ourselves to God by being what He wants us to be- His lighted candles in the world.

5.THE FINDING OF JESUS IN THE TEMPLE...

After three days of anxious searching, Mary and Joseph find Jesus in the temple.





Personal Prayer:

We do not always completely understand the events of life...Mother, teach us how to keep"things in our hearts" to have faith when we can not answer the many whys of life..Most of all help us to realize that even the depest human love cannot claim greater importance than our relationship with the Father.


THE SORROWFUL MYSTERIES...

In these mysteries the emphasis shifts from faith to love; from Mary to Jesus. In Jesus, we are confronted with realities of being human; its limitations, inabilities and finalities. In Jesus also, the Lord reveals to us His unbounded love. Fromthe first mystery to fifth, we are drawn to experience the depth of God's love for us, which is shown by the death of Jesus on the cross.

1. THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN
    Jesus endures his agony in solitude. No one from his loved disciples is there to watvh with him.



Personal prayer:
  " Pray that you may not yield to temptation." Dear Lord Jesus,most of the time when we feel so down and bent by problems, we run away rather than pray,or worst we trust in our own power.

2. THE SCOURGING OF JESUS
    Jesus is whipped brutally by the Roman soldiers; his body is disfigured by the lashes.




3.THE CROWNING WITH THORNS
   To further disfigure Jesus,he is crowned with thorns that pierced through his head.





4.JESUIS CARRIES HIS CROSS
   Jesus disfigured, crowned with thors body trembling with pain carries his cross not out of compulsion but with resolute acceptance of the Father's will.



5.JESUS DIES ON THE CROSS
   Jesus bows his head and give up his spirit. He embraces the most horrible death willingly out of a supreme love for us.






THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES...

The glorious mysteries proclaim the power of hope that invites us to to look beyond our human existences and to experience Jesus and Mary in the midst of our everyday life, our joys and sorrows, our victories and failures. Through each mystery, we are led to a deeper understanding of the great mystery- God's pure and unbounded love for us a love that is our only and true hope.

1. THE RESURRECTION



    After the indiscribable suffering and humilation of the Cross, Jesus is raised to a new and glorious life. Death is not the end.

2. THE ASCENCION OF JESUS

   Jesus returns to the Father. The apostles feel abandoned. Fear grips their being. Jesus absence creates a vacuum. But they are given the promise of the Father, the one who will remain with them forever. meanwhile they have to wait.



3.THE DESCENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT UPON THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY AND THE APOSTLES

The apostles are filled with fear and apprehension. Inspite of the promise of Jesus, they are anxious and deeply troubled. The Spirit comes replacing fear with courage, apprehension with assurance, anxiety with deep joy. from a close upper room, they come ouit proclaiming boldly the story of Jesus.





4. THE ASSUPTION OF THE BLESSED MARY TO HEAVEN TO HEAVEN BODY AND SOUL< IN TO HEAVEN

Jesus receives Mary into the everlasting home prepared for her and for us. The assumption is a powerful reminder of our final hope to be received by Jesus into heaven.






5. MARY IS CROWNED QUEEN OF HEAVEN AND EARTH

    Mary is Queen beacuse she is the the first, the best and the perfect disciple on earth. Her coronation is God's commitment to the dignity of the human person.





LUMINOUS MYSTERIES...


1.THE BAPTISM OF JESUS IN THE JORDAN
   Christ descends into the waters, the heavens open wide and the Father declares him the Beloved Son,the Spirit descends on him to invest him with the mission which he is to carry.



2.THE FIRST MIRACLE AT CANA
   Through the intercession of Mary, Jesus changes watrer to wine and opens the hearts of the disciples to faith at the wedding feast in Cana.



3.JESUS PROCLAIMS THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
   Jesus torelessly works among the people,preaching ,teaching, feeding, healing,restoring life, forgiving sins, giving them hope and wholeness.



4.THE TRANSFIGURATION OF JESUS
   The glory of God shines forth from the face of Jesus, as the Father commands the astonished apostles to listen to him.



5.THE INSTITUTION OF THE EUCHARIST
   Christ offers his body and blood as food under the signs of bread and wine, and testifies to the end his love for humanity for whose salvation he will offer himself as sacrifice.
